This Privacy Policy explains how Health Partners International LLC ("HPI," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information in connection with our websites, software, professional services, and SaaS platform (the "Services"). We've tried to write it plainly. If anything is unclear, contact us at privacy@hpiplatform.com.
1. Overview
We collect only what we need to provide and improve the Services, to operate our business, and to meet legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information. When we act as a service provider or processor on behalf of a client, we handle that data according to our agreement with the client and this policy.
2. Information we collect
Information you provide. Contact and account details (such as name, email, company), the contents of messages and project inquiries, and information you share during an engagement.
Information from use of the Services. Log data, device and browser information, IP address, and usage events generated when you interact with our sites and platform.
Client data. Data you or your users submit to or process through the platform in the course of an engagement, which we handle on your behalf.
Information from third parties. Limited information from service providers such as our payment processor, analytics providers, and infrastructure vendors.
3. How we use information
- To provide, maintain, and improve the Services and deliver engagements.
- To communicate with you about projects, support, and updates.
- To process payments and prevent fraud.
- To secure our systems and investigate misuse.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.
4. Legal bases for processing
Where required by law (for example, under the GDPR), we process personal data on the basis of: performance of a contract; our legitimate interests in operating and improving the Services; your consent, where applicable; and compliance with legal obligations. You may withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent.
5. How we share information
We share information with: (a) service providers and subprocessors who help us operate the Services under confidentiality obligations (e.g., cloud hosting, payment processing, analytics); (b) professional advisors; (c) authorities when required by law or to protect rights and safety; and (d) parties to a corporate transaction such as a merger or acquisition. We do not sell personal information.
6. Payments & Stripe
Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. When you make a payment, your card and billing details are collected and processed directly by Stripe under its own terms and privacy policy. We do not store full payment card numbers on our systems. See our Payments & Stripe page for details on how payment data is handled.
7. Cookies & analytics
We use cookies and similar technologies to operate our sites, remember preferences, and understand usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect functionality. Where required, we request consent for non-essential cookies.
8. Data retention
We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide the Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it. Client data is retained and deleted according to the applicable engagement agreement.
9. Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and monitoring. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your information and to notify affected parties of incidents as required by law.
10. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to opt out of certain disclosures. To exercise these rights, contact privacy@hpiplatform.com. We will respond consistent with applicable law and may need to verify your identity. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
11. Health & sensitive data
Because we work with healthcare and medical-device clients, an engagement may involve health-related or other sensitive data. Where we process such data on a client's behalf, we do so under a separate written agreement (which may include a Business Associate Agreement where applicable) that governs permitted uses and safeguards. We do not use sensitive client data for our own purposes.
12. International transfers
We may process and store information in countries other than where you reside. Where we transfer personal data across borders, we use appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses where required by applicable law.
13. Children's privacy
The Services are intended for businesses and are not directed to children under 13 (or the age defined by local law). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will revise the "last updated" date above and, for material changes, provide additional notice where appropriate. Your continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
